First, let us explain how and why the patented activator button works.

Look at the activator—see how it’s shaped? It’s shaped like a contact lens. Also, within the activator there are little grooves that run through it. 

The goal in activating your heat pack is to grab the edges of the activator and push it inside out causing it to emit a "click" sound. When you do this, you are actually separating the grooves and forcing the chemical solution through the activator which in turn causes one molecule to crystallize and heat up. 

It activates when you give the clicker enough friction to shock the chemical solution into its crystallization process. So if one click doesn’t give it enough friction, just click it again until you see the white crystals and feel the heat. It’s normal to click the activator button 1-12 times to start the crystallization process.
