Nicholas was originally issued for QVC, and this version is referred to as the first edition, but due to its popularity, the Precious Moments Company issued a second edition that was limited to only 15,000 pieces and was available off of television too. The second edition doll has a sticker that is placed on the back of the original doll tag that says "Second Edition".
